I just finished a layout about my youngest daughter, Anna. In February, she attended St. Martinville Rotary Club's annual Mardi Gras ball. It's a pretty dressy affair, so this girl of mine was gussied up! We couldn't find just the right shoes to go with her dress, so Anna decided to wear cowboy boots, Taylor Swift style. She was ADORABLE! The large picture in the layout might just end up on our Christmas card this year.
The pictures are too dark - sorry! I tried the flash, and that was worse. You get the idea, though. :)
At the end of June, I made baby shower invitations for a very special mommy-to-be. I gave her several samples to choose from. This one didn't make the cut, but I wanted to share it here anyway. I love the classic simplicity of it.
I'll share a pic of the one that she chose just as soon as I put my hands on it. It's pretty cute, too!
About a year ago, We R Memory Keepers announced that they were making a 3x4 round-corner square punch to go with Project Life. All of us who participate in Project Life were ecstatic, and couldn't wait to get our hands on it. A year went by, and the punch just became available at Scrapbook.com. Of course, I ordered it, and it came in today.
First of all, it's pricey. $29.99. But, if it works like it's supposed to, that price is okay by me. I was a little scared because I read a terrible online review - only one out of five stars! It's also big and heavy - bigger and heavier than I expected.
I put the punch to the test on patterned paper, heavy cardstock and photo paper. It cut through the patterned paper and photo paper without a problem. I did have to try a couple of times to get the punch to cut through cardstock, but all it took was a bit of increased pressure, meaning I pushed really hard. The edges were a tiny bit rough, but not bad. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. I'm going to put it to work tonight on this week's Project Life spread.
That's it for now. So glad you stopped by!
