The kids have been off of school this week for the Thanksgiving break. It's been wonderful not having to get up at the crack of dawn, or spend our evening hours doing homework. I've been able to spend some time in my studio, and even have a layout to share! I took this picture of Matthew when he was a little over a year old. He used to love going for walks in our neighborhood while the older kids were in school. We'd listen for birds, pet Khaki The Dog Next Door, and pick up pretty leaves. Every now and then, I'd take my camera along in hopes of getting a shot like this one!

I wanted the photograph to be the star of the layout, so I printed it as an 8x12. This is one of my favorite page designs, and I use it again and again. I added a scalloped border, alpha stickers and an embossed leaf that I made using the Fiskars Fuse. The heart buttons are Doodlebug Design, circa 2002-ish. Quick, simple, done!

Cute, huh? :)
